I ordered new e-brake cables today. Just can't bring myself to install those severely rusted cables onto those lovely red calipers. I ordered the intermediate cable and the two rear cables. When they arrive, I will set aside some weekend time to install them and fabricate the trick to making them work properly with the disc brakes.
I pulled out my rear setup today to look at it. The rear calipers are not red, they are kinda like a silver color. or was. Looks like even in a drawer that one of them picked up a little moisture and is slightly powdered sadface.
Mine are explorer rears because my rear end is a big tube 31 spline torsen. When I put it in I'll make the call on if I should get red ones for the rear. Guess it would look stupid red in front and silver in rear.
Michael I need to borrow a couple pounds of your ambition, it isn't a money or time thing any more it is plain ambition.
