Max, the sensor really should be mounted upside down. Reason being if the coolant gets a bit low, the top hose won't be completely full. Orienting the sensor to the bottom will allow the coolant to cover the sensor even if it is somewhat low. That being said, if Jim is going to engrave the FR logo on it, directly opposite the sensor would place the logo on TOP... allowing you to see it (and smile) every time you are under the hood.
