My 90 days are up at the new job, and I have spoken with the engineering crew who says they will 3D print the prototype bushings for me. I will make them like a "C" so they can be easily inserted without removing the rod. The zip tie version is working fantastic in the passenger side of my 01, and I did the same thing to both sides of my Jalapeno truck with manual cranks, after grease it didn't make cranking any harder and the window does seal. If I get a working prototype then I will probably just buy a used 3d printer. First off's will be flexible PLA (I didn't know there were different types of PLA) then I will research material/VS/pita factor. I hear Nylon is very difficult to extrude but would be ideal. Or would it? I'll post a picture while it is printing, they have one gantry model that is over 36" tall and a smaller Ultimaker. They also have a Faro on a surface plate in our office. I had a Microscribe by my desk at the diesel place but the Faro is 20 times more accurate.
