Welcome! They are very durable trucks that can take a lot of punishment. When they age and gets lots of miles things like the ball joints, fuel pump, ignition coil, and thermostat housing may need attention (depending on your engine for the last two).

When I filled up last weekend the all city MPG worked out to 19.9 for the 7 gallons I put in. I am in Atlanta where gas has been scarce this week but I only put 48 miles on the truck. I put just over 60 on the motorcycle. I put 543 on the Freightliner w/ the Mercedes 6.0 which worked out to just over 7 mpg. Busy week, I usually only run 400 miles a week.

I remember when i bought my first Ford and car, it was a manual 86 Ford Escort.. It was blast to drive and I was so geeked about having a car at 18 finally that I put 457 miles on it in one night.

I picked up that car at 4:30'ish and came home at 3am... My parents were pissed ! I was supposed to be home at midnight. lol
