Today I saw a Marathon gas station open and the Kroger gas stations open. All of the convenience stores have their prices pulled down. The few old fashioned gas stations have plastic bags over the nozzles. I am not sure about Sam's, BJ's, or Costco. I do know Costco had a 2 hour wait for fuel and they kept the pumps open later than normal last night. The gas pumps that did have fuel also had county police on site directing traffic and keeping order. Supposedly the Colonial pipeline is operational. They do not say what level they are operating at. On a typical week day I will see five or six tankers delivering fuel to various gas stations in the area. I saw 4 yesterday and 1 today. There was at least a 21 day fuel supply at the fuel farm in Doraville last Friday. Even with a run on fuel I can't see this level of unavailability. I believe something else is adding to the problem.
