Too late now. Stations are running out of fuel due to people topping off and filling every available Jerry can they have. The Atlanta market has a 21 day supply at the fuel farm in Doraville. The distribution by trucks is supposed to be maintaining normal supply levels but there has been a run on fuel and there are fuel stations out of gas all over the metro area. The Mom and Pop stations are limiting fuel to fill cars only. Things will normalize by the weekend. I learned of the shutdown through a friend of my wife's who has a son that works IT for Colonial in Louisiana. His view is that they could remove and replace all control computers with fresh builds getting some pipelines flowing within 2 days and a full system replacement within the 21 day supply of Atlanta. The pipeline closure only accounts for 45% of fuel in the Atlanta area. There is also a pipeline that originates on the SC coast offloading fuel from tankers. It runs through Augusta, Atlanta, Birmingham, and ends in Memphis.
