Well, I wanted to give everyone the outcome on my problem of the brake light and ABS brake light were both on and not going off. This is the type of outcome I really like...

The problem went away on its own! I drove over a pretty high tree trunk root at our local fisherman's park here (to get a parking spot) and when I backed back out over the tree trunk again to leave, both lights went out and haven't come back on since. That was several weeks ago. What do you think of that? Lose wire?

Anyway, thanks again for the suggestions. When the problem first started, my mechanic said if the lights don't bother you, I would just leave it be. Well, the lights were starting to bother me, but glad the problem went away on its own.
