Awwww thanks.

As it turns out 3D printers mostly print parts from PLA, which is worse than the original material. To last it would have to be at least Nylon which can be printed but takes longer and takes more heat. The saga continues....

The roller system though cool would be out of a lot of peoples price range. If I can make these for less than 20 bucks a pair I bet it becomes a hot item. I could even set up a test window and just have it go up and down for a month to see how it wears.

Sounds good, keep in touch.

Keep in touch, if you need anything, e-mail !
And as always...  PICTURES as you go !

I'm excited about the outcome, not just we will have windows that are not a PITA to put up and down but the testing, the inspection, the measuring... Quality Assurance at its best !

Also, was joking on the Roller Bearings, although it was a good idea for wear characteristics.

Thanks Jim for all your time and trouble.

p.s.  One last thing, do you have any idea what the cost might be to have an outside source do the 3D modeling in a material capable of handling long-term wear ?
