I realize this is an old post but can you steer me where to find info on compatible frames for a 2001 Ext Cab XLT 4x4.
I acquired one with a badly rusted frame that needs replaced.
I have not yet found a resource for info on if a 2x4 ext cab truck frame is swappable and can accept the 4x4 components to be put on it, what other years and trucks would have either a whole compatible frame or even if the back half measurements and attatchment points are compatible.
Also did you cut your frame?
Or, did it separate at that point?
Where exactly did you separate it and the replacement?
How did you bolt the frame halves back together? Did you have to use flat plates of metal with bolts or have to weld plates on the to attach them back together.
