That looks interesting, your idea sounds good.
What about two, one on each side with a spring clip drawing them in against the Guide Bar ?
Do you think one will work as you want ?
If you come up with an idea that works and create a kit to fix a pair of windows... I think you will have a Salable Item and I'm thinking there will a market for this not only with Rangers.

p.s.  What about four Roller Bearings setup in compression against the Guide Bar, keep the bushings ?
