I played with this a little last night, what a nightmare. First off evidently the rod is harder to remove on a truck with power windows, I had the nut off the bottom and the nut off the top and still could not get the rod out!

The more I looked at it, it is a really bad design to start with. I did get an idea though, I might try it on one of my crank window trucks first. I have access to a 3D printer now, I'll ask the dudes in engineering (same office as me) what file format they need but in my estimation the only way to long term cure the problem is with a bushing that goes all the way between the brackets. Would be about 3" long, you would have to remove the rod, snap the bushing in and re insert the rod which might prove tricky.

I did a preliminary test using zip ties which helped but long term it needs guided better. Too bat it is only 3" but it has to be. It goes almost all the way to the bottom and almost all the way to the top that is all that's left.

The whole design it thoughtless and doomed to fail from the drawing board. That's why at least half of us on here has noticed it. The ones that haven't noticed must drive their trucks under 50MPH all the time.
