The pricing is increasing 3 to 4 times that of inflation over the past 30 years.  I have a F-150 Lariat Diesel, F250 7.3 sudo Lightning, and a f350 7.3 and Diesel FX4 all priced out they way I like. The F-150 and F-250 are within a couple hundred dollars of each other, the F350 has me in the early $60 area.

I have had a few new F-150's and a couple 3/4 tons that were not a crippling strain to make payments on but the last one was a 2005 duelly that it was close a few times. I haven't had a truck payment since the duelly and I have done though 2 inherited trucks and I am driving the farm parts runner (The Ranger) until it dies or somebody makes a serious offer I can't refuse on it. For a new truck I have a hard time wrapping my head around a price tag that is a couple thousand more than what I bought my first house for 35 years ago.
