I grew up watching Trek in the afternoon after school. I don't understand the logic behind not getting the vaccine, but like you said, it is still your choice. But I know people that gotten covid and have long term long lasting side effects, so I am doing what I can to skip that. I can't imagine that it is even possible to make it mandatory in the US. But work places can do that. And a lot of healthcare places are. I had worked at the place I am at for 13 years, and they were headed to complete shutdown. So I left. Came back after a year and a half when they got more money. Paying me $4 more an hour than what I was making. It's not really about the money, I don't really need it, but the work is 10X more interesting. And will be as I work on the next level technology for what we do. Plus they are paying me a $5K bonus literally tomorrow. But, again, it's not about the money, but it's nice to appreciated. Plus there literally isn't anybody else that can for them what I am doing. Got asked if I wanted to go into the engineering...
