The springs arrived yesterday. I tore the 1911 down to the frame. I had 2 extra parts  from my last 1911 frame teardown in the late 70's. I got on YouTube and the guy didn't have the extra parts on his rebuild. In the last seconds he said "follow my strip and rebuild of  series 80 1911".  My 1911 is a series 80 and it has the extra parts.  It took 6 hours to put this 1911 back together. I had a gunked up firing pin and extractor. It has between 12k to 15k  rounds and all I have ever done was a field strip cleaning. I will hit the range soon to see how it works.
