The frame looks like it's just pretty good surface rust, no actual rot from what I can see. 

I can live with the small 84 cab, I sat it in before I took the seats out and for me (5'9”) it's not too terribly small. The reason I wanted the 98+ frame is so that I have updated newer suspension design on an older ranger. 

I just hate not making any progress
