Last year I got all 3 kids on skis back here, this winter I plan to take them to the ski area one at a time and try their new skills on the slopes! I have been skiing since I was 4 but with the cost of the sport skyrocketing (lift tickets were like $60-120+ for one day and you had to deal with CO mountain traffic on the weekends) what we did was get into snowmobiling and subsequently back country skiing on the trails...there are so many snowmachine trails in CO that have excellent skiing its not even funny.....the best way to see the wilderness IMO is on a snowmobile...
I'm hoping to get out and see the wilderness in our new back yard here in North Idaho, so far just tinkering around on our own property and neighborhood has been plenty of adventure for us.
We received about 4" of slush from yesterdays storm, enough to lean over some small trees and cause some slick conditions, early winter storm no biggie, it will not stick around going back into the 50's next week.
So today I will be piecing together the exhaust and finishing up the cooling system install (fan and shroud), install all fluids, and turn my attention to the interior wiring. Add the v8 pats, change the tach wire in the instrument cluster..........and finally get ready to turn the key!
The rear axle will go in early next week and I will finalize the drivelines.....then we have ourselves a running driving v8 ranger with 4x4!!
Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly..
I will get video of the first key bump!!
Earlier in the thread I mentioned the stock Motorcraft wire set was good but not perfect, so our truck owner took it upon himself to overnight me a Taylor 8.2 thundervolt wireset with new heat socks...
Needless to say I will be redo the plug wires to these new upgraded units!!
I love these wires, I run them on my BII and they have been stellar!!
