Alright getting engine ready, truck ready, wiring ready, and trans cooler lines ready..................

first up install 5.0 explorer oil filter adapter to Jasper longblock:
remove 302 oil filter adapter from block, this needs to be the explorer style piece

Silly jasper, no paint allowed on sealing surfaces, not here, not today

All cleaned up

explorer bit installed, 1-1/4" socket

Prep the rest of the explorer parts, wait there is one O ring missing
Parts were cleaned and bagged by our truck owner...  awesome

Now I can clean behind ring and prep both O rings for install with some lube

Mating surfaces cleaned, O rings in place, 98-2001 style oil filter adapter installed to block

Done

Now to clean and prep the explorer 302 transmission cooler lines

degrease

Wipe clean and clean threads and fittings

Houston we have a problem

You see THIS IS WHY we do not skip steps
Large wear spot and hole in the feed line!!

Luckily I happed to have a 5.0 feed line lying around we can use :)
Bad line replaced, 3 lines ready to go

Lines cleaned inside and out, prepped for paint because they were looking pretty ratty.
I sprayed them with a galvanized coating to protect them and still look stock
