hat is correct on 98-00 models except for 2wd. On 2wd the GEM, receives the raw signal and converts to square wave signal. On a 93 there is a VSS that connects directly to the PCM and the Cruise Control Servo module. There is no external square wave signal generated. Also there is the ABS sensor in the back which also has a RABS test connector ran in parrallel so you tap in to that without being too invasive. Now to convert the raw signal you may have to acquire a 2wd GEM to convert the signal. I think the instrumentation was cable driven. This will get the truck to think it's always in motion. I made sometime similar when I was trying to make a speed calibration circuit (Forscan changed those plans).
