Blue is first gen Ranger, red is the ranger frame that I want. They seem to line up almost perfectly. If I get a first gen after the “facelift” (89-92) then the length is less than an inch shorter, and the wheelbases are 2.4”  different. I can always move the axle back on the 98+ frame to fit inside the wheel wells. Any ideas, or anyone that sees something I don't let me know.

1983 Ranger, reluctantly taking apart. Donor/project vehicle.

1997 Ranger Ex Cab Manual 4.0 2wd, dead on arrival. Hopefully reviving for a daily driver.

1984 Ranger, currently in ≈861 pieces. She’s donating what’s salvageable.
