Wow it seems like our opinions are all over the map on this.

I choose ceramic, they are usually more consistent and better quality, not because someone else told me I should.

Also I simply hate that black dust that forms on the front wheels, will go to any lengths to avoid it short of a car wash.

I have only warped a rotor once, front brake hose on a Corsica wouldn't let the fluid go backwards and I literally drove till I smelled something. It was the hub cap melting. Rotor pulsed after that.

I do not like the drilled rotors. I have seen no evidence (except from drilled rotor manufacturers) that they run cooler, and if you think about it you are reducing the surface area the pads can clamp on. It has been years but I read dozens of independent studies. They sure do look cool though.
