I need some help. I'm doing a frame swap, I've already sourced some frames near me in good condition, even a whole truck minus engine in good shape. But, I don't know what frame to get. From doing research it seems that nobody really knows a whole lot about the dimensions of the first gen Ranger. I have one and could measure it, but I don't trust myself and my numbers. I looked, and this is as close as I got to a comparison.

First gen Ranger. I have the single cab long bed, circled in red

I want one of these frames, the one circled in red here seems to be the closest match.

Now, the wheel base is 2.4” shorter on the 98+ frame, I figured that would be easy just move the axle back a little.

BUT, the 98+ is 1.8” longer. Would that .6 really be noticeable if I did it right? Would the body somewhat lineup, if I make my own body mounts? Much help is needed here.
