Thank goodness she is home!

Looking at your post, lets slow down a bit

"I think one issue is the signal return or number one terminal says in the switch diagram goes to the number one spot and also the diagram for the controller says that it is the signal return instead sooooooooooooo"

What?
"the other issue I think maybe the vss from the transfer case it has one green wire and one blue wire but I'm not using them so I'm not sure if that vss input is just looking for mili volts when moving and if so do I need to ground one of the vss wires on the tcase in order to produce voltage and then what wire is ground"

The motorolla box does not need VSS signal to operateĀ

The motorolla box DOES need a NSS signal, this is a ground yes. Most NSS switches work that way, when in N they complete the circuit to ground. The NSS signal is so you can shift into Low range.

Im going to go back to page 1 and read this thread again, see if I can pickup any missing bits
Also the wiring info posted in this thread is for a 2000 Ranger 4x4 control module....maybe slightly diff then our motorolla box. I have hand written notes downstairs I want to check against the diagrams posted earlier in this thread.
