the two piece design is for installing the headers with the engine in the explorer........ I am not sure if I have ever used it. Meaning I always have the header completely together before installing to the engine Keep up the good work! Here is the TMH install info for a regular stock engine bay https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/torque-monster-headers-installation-writeup-and-review.129083/ tight fit ![]() Sometimes you have to get all the pieces in place, then the cyl 5 manifold gets bolted to the main header loosely, then the header is put to the engine block loosely then finally #5 flange is tightened down.
