My opinion, I used a Bed from a '95 Ranger on an '03 Ranger, so I'm guessing yes the Rear Axle will fit.
Another thought, use an Explorer, get new Spring Perches and shock tabs welded on.
If you choose right, you will have a Limited Slip, 4.10 gears, and disc Brakes all in one swap.
