I did find more rust than average in the radiator, water was way low.
I'm working on getting that 4.0 in the extended cab I have, that is first.
I have no plans so far other than that. Between the original short bed 2wd 5.0 and the one I just bought I could probably make a decent truck.
Original: short cab short bed 2WD. 5.0 planted but needs engine mount swap on driver side (long story). Cab has substantial rot at driver corner. Frame is freaking awesome. Passenger door has rust, driver door has been replaced at some point.
Latest one: Short cab steppie bed, rear of frame rotted, cab in incredible shape. Both front fenders mildly bent at bumper. Doors OK.
SOOOO if I took the original project and used the cab and the doors from the latest one I have a truck with a 5.0 and not enough rust to bother anything. Being they are both 2000 and both the exact same color makes this better.
I could not get a good cab and doors for 500 bucks. And I have a great interior and tons of other parts to boot. No brainer. Just need a few guys to help.
