Based on the Ranger platform. 2 door version is also rumored. They say Ford showed the 2 door at a dealer conference. Top might be removable also. Latest rumor has them maybe making a pick-up version. Makes a little sense, as this is aimed squarely at the Wrangler. We saw a couple 4 door ones in camo driving through Denver about a month ago. All interesting info BUTT no one really knows for sure ! The engine, 2.7L ECO Boost, four cylinders with Turbos, man..., what is needed is a rugged 4x, with a V-8 and modifiable suspension that will handle HD Off Roading, AND I do not believe Ford will deliver on any of those things ! Ford doesn't take anyone opinions for styling or size of vehicle or power from anyone butt themselves. The four door is too big be any good off roading, the suspension will be another story but the general public will probably think it is goo to go ! I'm waiting to see but not hold my breathe, because Ford has disappointed us/me so many times, I don't expect anything Off-Road worthy to come out of their plants. AND of course the pricing of this thing will probably be WAY over where it should be. Where we go from here will depend on so many things... Ford WILL screw us again if and when possible. If the picture posted are correct, why do we need another SUV, too big and under powered to do anything but be a grocery getting for Soccer Mom's. Do I sound a little negative, sorry to those that think this is a good thing that Ford has done for us, AND I am hoping the styling and power is up to the task. Ltr,
