I get DIY but if the part is notorious for cracking how many times do you want to do it yourself? I like warranties. I only pay for the part once and I'm covered if it fails for 2 years.

For people who have less time to work on their trucks, dealership rates and parts have become competitive with other shops, at least in my area. Dealership service records are a good paper trail of the maintenance history.
