Different problem but similar fix. My thermostat housing cracked and leaked. I had read several threads that confirmed this was a common issue. I researched what others had done. Most looked for a metal housing but it was hit and miss on quality. I contacted my local dealer because I only wanted to pay for this once. I can change the housing myself but it could still crack. I opted for the dealer to replace it. The housing came with a 2 year warranty and a new thermostat and they topped off the coolant. The cost was between $200-250. I had this done about a year or less. This gave me piece of mind I wouldnt ruin my engine till I delivered it to 410customs shop. I cant say how well this worked because I had the V6 swapped for a V8 a few months later. If the cost to do the housing is the same as the thermostat I'd do the housing. ![]() Last edited on Fri Jun 12th, 2020 02:51 pm by Eddie Money ____________________ I know my crazy!
