Scrambler82, I feel your pain. I grew up on a farm and the Ford trucks could take more punishment. The 80's and earlier small blocks were prone to oil leaks but they had stronger suspensions and were geared lower for pulling loads. The 04 Ranger I currently drive is the last Ford we had on the farm before we put everything in pine trees. I plan on driving it until it is no longer economically sound to repair it (unless I get an offer I can't refuse). I have had a few 3/4 and 1-ton diesels and they have all been very good on fuel and good work trucks except for the Dodge - after 4 years everything except the power train fell apart. I have a BIL that for the past 20 years is trading his F-150 every 3 years to keep a vehicle in warranty. He has had one Chevy and one Nissan other than the Fords over the past 40 years. The thing is he has never used any of them as a work truck. I also don't think any of them have been off-road. His money...
