Thanks, when I see really good deals something triggers and I have to get them. I need to drive it to see what is really wrong, we fired it up, I pressed the clutch in, put it in gear, let out a little and it felt perfectly normal. It will go on a dolly under its own power and the first thing it is doing is taking a trip around the block. I get the impression I might have to drive it longer to see what is really wrong.

I heard some valve rattle when it first started but it had been sitting for 3 months. If I remember, that red one I had with similar mileage and same engine rattled when I first started it too after replacing the belt. After first warm up driving it daily it did not rattle even when started.

Runs extremely smooth. This guy did not beat on it... but he was a "fast" driver I could tell by the grill. He wasn't a "burn outs" or "Jack rabbit launches" type guy but I bet it saw 75/80 regularly.

I wish I didn't have to rent a dolly for this one and could just drive it home I bet it would make it. You only need a clutch for first gear anyway :-)
