It isn't too bad in Ohio, but in Michigan we had these little creatures that were like squirrels only smaller and had stripes on their back called Chipmunks. If you lived anywhere even inner city and left your car sit more than a week they would assume it was viable domicile and would set up residence. They eat the exact thing squirrels do and store it in any spot they can. Popular spots were the air filter chambers and underneath the intake of 4.6 fords.

A guy at a quick change oil place was giving me his sales pitch trying to get me to replace everything he sells during an oil change, brings me the PCV valve saying how I should replace it every bla bla bla. It had nut shells and a couple pieces of straw hanging out of it! He didn't notice it I did. This was a Dodge Daytona Turbo and the PCV valve is in an unusual location.
