Rear main seals on just about any engine has a lifespan without leaking of about... 70,000 miles max. Valve cover gaskets can go at about any time. Transmission front seals go out also, it is a gradual process but even with the best oil you are still rubbing a piece of rotating metal constantly with a piece of rubber.
