Yes. Pull the bolt ALL THE WAY OUT, insert the rod putting pressure under the lower arm to seat it low. When you peer through the bolt hole that divot in the rod should be right there. Insert the bolt.

The idea is even if the bolt comes loose the knuckle cannot fall off the ball joint rod and since it is a PT nut it should just spin and you don't die. Great design IMO!!
