Guys, there is a vacuum canister (ball shaped) on the right hand side under the hood down near the wheel. There is a check valve either in the canister supply end or at the end of the line that connects to it. If the ball gets cracked, or that check valve sticks open, when the vacuum breaks during acceleration, you will lose your HVAC control. Jim knows more about this than I do, so if you don't understand the way I described it, PM Mr. JAMMAN and he can give you better description and details.
