Well. I drove the truck with the disc brakes, 8.8 big beefy axle, that has 5.13.. I have 3 words.. OH MY GOOOODDD. I do not know why I did not do this stuff sooner... Holy cooow... It is absolutely amazing. I can cruise at 60 in 4th at about 2500 rpm. I can use 5th gear (I have not used it in over 3 years because it would bog so bad you couldn't drive it). As a celebratory gift to myself, I ordered 2" lift coil springs to lift the truck up in the front another few inches to keep it level with the now taller back end.
