Autocross is not like Motocross Autocross is most often a single car at a time on short courses between cones on flat asphalt. Race against the clock, emphasis is on handling/technique. Most autocross (or autoX) are very low and stiff for the short technical courses. I would take the ranger. Then when it's not fast enough for you anymore put the mustang engine in it. You might end up like this: (please do it :) ) He started with an old 1990 ranger on a budget and ended up with a v8, SLA front, IRS rear, 14 inch brakes etc... etc... Mean AutoX Ranger Or build the foxbody... but doesn't seem "nimble" for autocross ( then again, neithet is a Ranget lol..)
