Love Viton and I'm a Mcmaster user from back before they had a web page. Their web page is the absolute best in the industry, easy to find anything you need.

Viton will work, just make sure the surfaces aren't all pitted up. There are 3 different durometers also to choose from. Ugh LOL.

Thanks that's reassuring but now you just added complexity to my search, LOL  so which durometer should I look for or will it be obvious once I remove the large nut?  Thanks for the reply, much appreciate the input  :-)
