All,  I have had a small leak coming from the large nut that sits against the plastic power steering pump reservoir which in turn holds the smaller nut where the high pressure line attaches.  After a power steering flush and replenishing with Motorcraft Mercon V the small leak became more apparent and now I loose about 1/2 a pint every 2 days or so regardless whether I am driving or just sitting.  I tried to get a seal or O-ring (not sure what goes in there) from the dealer but they said you have to buy the whole pump.  I asked on another forum but was told even if I purchased a rebuild kit that one does not come with it.

The pump is quiet and besides the leak I don't have any complaints.  Anyone encounter this issue before and has any suggestions besides replacing the pump?  I don't want to keep pouring Mercon V in there (that stuff is not cheap).

Thanks for your time and Happy Holidays!
