Scrambler82, yes that was what I was looking for. Thank you very much.Here is a pic of the drivers side mirror glass, if you look closely you can see 2 of the rust spots on the glass.
Not that is would make any difference, but I will look at the mirrors I removed and see what is in those spots on the back, if I remember correctly there is nothing.
The inners are plastic and nothing is in those areas that could rust except the chrome itself.
Could be poor prep on the back side before chroming.
Are your plans to replace the Glass with something new or completely different, maybe directionals or a JY glass ?
