Pull that back for 3 secs and it moves a curved sharpening stone against the teeth of the chain.
Then to me, an ignorant peasant, I would say it isn't an AUTO Sharpener !
It is a "Built-In Sharpener", as my very old and not forgotten, McCulloch Chain Saw was... Put finger on Button, Press Button... that definitely sound manual to me. LoL !
