In the US, you take the amount of people infected and divide by the deaths.. its just under 1%
Its affected 104K as of the time of this post, 1717 Deaths, 845 recoveries.
BUT you do not know the actual number of people infected currently nor the number of people who have had it and recovered. Neither do you know if the deaths were as a result of the virus or other causes. So any calculation is a waste of time - I doubt we will ever know the actual figures, it doesn't really matter, the deaths are real and have the same impact no matter what the cause.
The problem is the scaremongering and fake news that spreads even faster than the virus, people panic because someone on twitter says he can't wipe his bum.
