the M5od-HD only came behind the SOHC 4.0 all others use the mazda 5 speed M5OD
Now with that said is it possible your truck was an auto from the factory and converted to a 5 speed?
The door code "R" comes up as a 5r55w, which is not correct
5r55w was never used in the Ranger
I am still trying to find Ranger transmission code "R" info online I am not sure it exists. I can only find full size trucks and explorer online........
