I remember a Vornado window fan we had when I was a kid. I found a pic of one like it online:
That baby cooled our entire house. You could have it pulling air into the house, or rotate the center part and it would draw the air OUT. Mom would do that when she was cooking something more aromatic, so the house wouldn't smell. I wish I knew what became of that fan!
I got a tabletop version of that vornado, they are no joke on moving air! I would usually do the same for my place, but with a ILG exhaust fan.
