I was trying to figure out which transmission I have (I'm pretty sure it's the M5OD-R1) and so I went online and started looking for transmission codes, and I couldn't find mine...? I have a transmission code “R” and there's no manual transmission codes that are an “R”. Am I doing something wrong lol? Here's my door tag:





Edit: after doing some vin decoding on a couple websites, I found this 


Did Ford not know what transmission they were going to put in the truck at the time lol? Was the person building the truck just like “hey, I don't know what transmission to put in here...ummm this one looks good”? Not sure what this means lol
