The parts 98% bolt into a Ranger, no frame rail notching needed. Using stock Explorer?Ranger and F150 parts everything CAN bolt in like the truck left the factory this way. No Chop cut or welding required. There is a plate in your floor to remove that gives access and a spot for the floor shifter. Just like if your ranger left the factory as a 5 speed, there are two different access panels, one is solid and used on automatic trucks, one has a hole in it for the floor shifter. 4ea 8mm screws hold these panels down, it is right under your carpet. The manual transfer case shifter (if you go that route) would require cutting a small hole just to the right of your right knee for the T case shifter. You only need the explorer 5.0 donor, the rest of the parts like the 5 speed transmission and transfer case can come from Ebay, a wrecker, craigslist, rebuilder, or heck even me if I find the parts Ill pack them up and ship them no problem
