Has anyone added or upgraded their 7.5" to limited slip? I don't want to do a full axle swap. My differential is in need of a full rebuild. I'm going to have a limited slip carrier added but I see 3 types and wondering which is best for the 7.5"? I see the Powertrax, the Standard Gear clutch type and spring type. Mine is an automatic with 4.10 gears. I will be having the ring and pinion replaced with same ratio. Main thing I'm wanting to know is will the ABS tone ring install to any or all these different carriers? I see reviews of them on Summit about Ranger owner's installing but not saying anything about the ABS ring. Only one review where the owner of an Aerostar mentioned he had to heat it up to remove but no one ever saying if it causes problems with the ABS system later on. The shop I'm having doing it specializes in differentials and does a lot of 4x4 work so I know they know how to set it up. Don't think they've had this particular job requested though.
