Well the roads are a lot quieter here too - the loo rolls are an endangered species - old people are queued up at the checkouts with trollies loaded high with stuff they probably won't live to use! The health service is now only testing for the virus in people who present with significant symptoms and who are "high risk". So the numberĀ of people who actually have the virus will be hugely under measured - good move by our politicians who clearly are doing this to downplay the extent of the illness. Schools etc are NOT being closed except where absolutely necessary or where too many of the staff are self isolating. Meantime, I am carrying on as usual except I go shopping in the evening when all the old dears are tucked up in bed and the pallets of fresh supplies are out for restocking the shelves. Apart from the fact I should be drinking Chianti in Italy right now ....
