this ranger should have it too

In order to run E85 you have to dump 30% more fuel into the combustion chamber.....so the truck has sensors that can detect the amount of ethenol in the fuel....

this little black box is only wired into the fuel level gauge

so the other sensor you speak of must be for the engines computer/ fuel management

We learn something every day!
I spent many years doing Explorers, still kinda like a kid when it comes to Rangers....very exciting!
Explorers never had the flex fuel 3.0 thank goodness and flex fuel was not an option until 2002 I believe
