A little. It did in my weed whip anyway. I bought a Stihl weed whip from a guy that had it in storage for 2 years. Said I could have the gas can too if I want so I took it.

Got home, it fired right up.

That was 2 years ago. I'm still using the gas out of the can and it smells funny (funnier than mixed gas usually smells and is darker). As of late fall because of strangely warm weather I fired it up, starts no problem and still runs good.

One thing I NEVER do and got burned on it is buy an old vehicle and put fuel system cleaner in the tank. It knocks every piece of varnish off the side of the tank that has been there 20 years, you will go through multiple fuel filters before giving up when it eventually clogs the injectors. I know this sounds anti establishment but this is from experience only.
