If you really want to go to the "stupid stuff" side what about Allen head bolts? or Torx? or even Bristol?
All three of those are just a huge PITA. Allen is sometimes necessary in a tight spot where a regular bolt head may not work. Torx and Bristol really make no sense. Luckily, I've never run into Bristol in real life!
